Purpose and scope


The goal of ÓJ&K-ÍSAM's equal pay policy is to guarantee all employees the same salary and the same conditions for similar or equally valuable jobs so that there are no differences. With this, ÓJ&K-ÍSAM promotes gender equality in the labor market and works against the gender pay gap. The policy includes a commitment to continuous improvement and supervision.

Liability


The managing director is responsible for the company's equal pay policy and all salary decisions The managing director makes sure that consistency is observed with all decision-making in this regard The human resources and quality manager is in charge of implementing, maintaining and monitoring the progress of the policy on behalf of the managing director.

Objectives


The aim is to guarantee the employees of ÓJ&K-ÍSAM the rights stipulated in Article 19 of the Equality Act no. 150/2020. The decision on the conditions of employees shall be based on objective considerations concerning the job and the qualification requirements for it. These considerations apply whether the decision concerns wages, benefits, pension, vacation or sick leave rights or any kind of rights that will be valued in money.

Assessment of job value


At ÓJ&K-ÍSAM, there must be job descriptions for all jobs. It must mention the requirements that the employee must meet. The scope and nature of the job affects wages, and ÓJ&K-ÍSAM salary decisions are based on objective criteria that ensure that employees are paid for their work based on the value of the job.

ÓJ&K-ÍSAM undertakes to:



  • Implement, document and maintain an equal pay system in accordance with the requirements of the equal pay standard ÍST 85:2012 and obtain certification in accordance with Act 150/2020 on equal pay certification.

  • That salary decisions are justified and it is ensured that they fit the principle that at ÓJ&K-ÍSAM the same salary is paid for similar and equally valuable jobs.

  • Respond to unexplained wage differences through continuous improvement and monitoring.

  • That salary decisions are documented, reasoned, traceable and signed by responsible parties.

  • Present the equal pay policy to employees and have it available to the public.
